Among the topics covered, I mention: cyberbullying, exposure to inappropriate content, personal data protection, contact with strangers in the online environment, online games.
Parents were encouraged to set clear boundaries and be actively involved in their children's online entertainment choices, offering them support and guidance in safe internet surfing. Through their awareness and active engagement, parents can play a critical role in protecting their children online.

Recognizing Online Dangers: Cyber Safety Awareness Workshops
07.02.2024
Daniela Grecu, Sf. Dumitru Secondary School, Craiova, Romania
As part of our project, around 100 6th grade students had the privilege of participating in interactive workshops designed to expose them to the potential dangers of online surfing. In these workshops, the children were guided by the IT teacher and learned to identify and manage various delicate situations encountered on the Internet. From protecting personal data to recognizing and avoiding the pitfalls of phishing or cyberbullying, students were exposed to information vital to safe online browsing.
An essential component of these workshops was the use of the Interland game (https://beinternetawesome.withgoogle.com/en_us/interland), an interactive educational platform that gives children a hands-on experience in understanding online security concepts. The game not only stimulated the students' competitive and cooperative spirit, but also provided them with a fun and engaging way to develop their safe internet surfing skills.

A day Without My Mobile
07.02.2024
The 2024 edition of Safer Internet Day took place on Tuesday, 6 February 2024. This special celebration, which takes place in February of each year, aims to raise awareness of a safer and better internet for all, and especially for children and young people. In our OFFLINE project we asked the students to NOT use their mobile phones on that special day. We encouraged them to do other activities instead of talking and playing on the phone, such as walking, riding their bikes, outdoor games, playing board games. They then described their experiences, both positive and negative. We are glad that together we could explore the potential of leisure activities outside the online world.

Erasmus+ and EU Code Week platform
30.10.2023
Daniela Grecu, Sf. Dumitru Secondary School, Craiova, Romania
Part of the activities carried out with students within the Erasmus+ Offline project, during the meeting from October 23-27, 2023, were published on the Code Week platform with the aim of giving greater visibility to the project and inspiring other schools to get involved in similar initiatives. The Code Week platform offers a wide range of educational resources and examples of projects in the field of technology and coding, being an ideal platform to disseminate the results of our project.
The publication on the Code Week platform included a summary description of the activities carried out, followed by a report on the activities (number of participating students, percentage of girls, etc.).

14 October 2023
In the world of the internet, it's no longer just a question of being attacked or busted on the street. The biggest danger is on social networking sites. An important question is how children can protect themselves from attacks in the digital space. The aim of this session was therefore to raise awareness of the dangers of using the internet and how to prevent them in a playful, informal and interactive way. Another important aspect was to develop critical thinking and to teach ethical rules in the field of Internet communication.

WORKSHOP - FAKE NEWS ANALYSIS
Sf. Dumitru Secondary School, Craiova, Romania
October 9, 2023
The activity carried out within the Erasmus+ "Offline" project was an engaging and educational one, which allowed us to focus on developing critical thinking and newspaper news reading skills. We chose to study several newspapers in our country, both local and national, to gain a better insight into how information is presented and interpreted in print media.
In the first stage of the activity, I presented the students with a series of specific questions to help them analyze and evaluate the content of newspaper news. These questions ranged from "What are the sources cited in the article?" to "Is there a balanced approach to the subject?".
The next stage consisted of reading the newspaper articles carefully and applying our specific questions to evaluate each news item. We were surprised to find that many of the stories had unclear sources or appeared to favor a particular point of view, at the expense of a balanced presentation of the facts. This activity taught us to be more attentive to details and not to accept information without questioning it.
In conclusion, we realized that critical thinking and careful evaluation of sources are essential in the digital information age, where misinformation can quickly spread belief in false news. This activity helped us become more responsible news consumers and develop our media discernment skills.

Creative and sustainable connections beyond social media
Sf. Dumitru Secondary School, Craiova, Romania June 9, 2023 In the digital age we live in, students often spend valuable time on social media, which can take them away from productive and creative activities. However, our Erasmus+ project aims to change this and encourage students to use their time in an efficient and creative way. In addition, we aimed to develop the students' creative thinking and their artistic skills, offering them the opportunity to participate in a county competition with an ecological theme, entitled "TERRA - THE PLANET OF LIFE". Thus, our primary and secondary level students were encouraged to express their creativity by creating drawings in watercolor or in digital format. This competition was an opportunity for them to develop their artistic skills and focus on themes related to environmental protection. The aim was to inspire them to find innovative and creative solutions to the environmental problems facing our planet. The efforts and talent of our students were not in vain. Some of their works that were sent for judging, received recognition through the awarding of prizes. This brought joy and pride to both the students and our school. |

Workshop. Cyberbullying and peer bullying
Torbalı Ticaret Odası 80. Yıl Secondary School, Torbali, Turkey
March 1, 2023
Peer Bullying is the repeated exposure of a student to physical, verbal, social or cyber-aggressive, irritating and harmful behaviors by another student or student group. Cyberbullying is bullying carried out using digital technologies. This type of bullying can be seen on social media, messaging platforms, gaming platforms and mobile phones. Repetitive behavior intended to intimidate, anger, or embarrass the targeted person
As Torbalı Ticaret Odası 80. Yıl Secondary School, we tried to provide our students with skills that can prevent cyberbullying by giving an awareness seminar where they can learn what cyberbullying is, why people do it and how they can be noticed, discuss their own experiences and practice skills that can prevent them from becoming victims of cyberbullying. and we prepared posters and displayed them on our school board and school website

February 07, 2023
Safer Internet Day, celebrated annually in February, is an event joined by millions of people around the world to raise awareness of the online safety and wellbeing of children and young people.
For this event, at Sf. Dumitru Secondary School from Craiova, Romania we started working on the specific posters through which we promote rules that must be respected in order to navigate safely on the Internet!
After mobilizing to make the posters, we managed to finish them and expose them in the school lobby.
We were very proud of our creations and our colleagues admired our works.
It's our first exhibition and we're excited about the positive things we've gathered in our work about how we can surf the Internet safely and protect ourselves from online dangers.
Coordinating teachers: Daniela Grecu, Daniela Bălună, Maria Lunganu
