The Erasmus+ mobility of students from Turkey, Hungary and Italy in Romania at the "Sf. Dumitru" Secondary School in Craiova was an exciting experience, full of varied activities and memorable cultural experiences.
The first day of mobility was a real cultural feast. The day started with a short artistic moment supported by primary and secondary school students, who performed Romanian folk music. This audition was an excellent opportunity for all participants to familiarize themselves with Romania's musical culture and create connections through art. This moment laid the foundation for a friendly atmosphere and opened the door for a series of interactive and educational activities.
After the artistic moment, the students were involved in two interactive workshops. The first workshop focused on media education, giving students tools to navigate the complex world of information and understand the influence of the digital environment on our perception.

The second workshop covered 3D modeling in Paint 3D and Tinkercad, allowing students to explore their creativity. These workshops combined learning with fun and facilitated interaction and collaboration among students. After a morning full of learning and exploration, the students had lunch in a friendly environment and then left for the Nicolae Romanescu Park in Craiova. Here, discussions of online and physical socialization continued, comparing the advantages and disadvantages of virtual versus face-to-face interactions. This activity promoted critical thinking and gave students the opportunity to share their experiences and opinions.
The second day of mobility was dedicated to raising awareness and combating hate speech and fake news. Students explored topics such as disinformation and media manipulation and developed skills in evaluating sources and detecting false information. They also had the opportunity to critically analyze newspapers and gossip publications in their home countries in an effort to better understand the media's influence on public opinion.

The third day of mobility was dedicated to activities that offered students a unique perspective on the history and natural beauty of Romania. One of the activities consisted of visiting the Museum of the Iron Gates Region, where the students had the opportunity to discover the rich cultural heritage of the region. Here they learned about the local traditions, art and history of the place. Also, the boat ride on the Danube, departing from the monumental sculpture of Decebal, was a memorable moment, giving the students the opportunity to admire the spectacular scenery of the river and connect with nature. The outdoor games organized at Casa Ecologică Mehadia were also an opportunity for socialization and fun as students explored the beauty of nature and participated in team activities.
The fourth day of mobility was dedicated to interactive workshops for creating animations on the Scratch platform. These workshops addressed sensitive topics related to the dangers of social media and promoted critical thinking and creativity. Students also had the opportunity to create online quizzes about fake news and inflammatory speech using Kahoot and Wordwall. After lunch, the students, accompanied by their teachers, visited the Museum of Natural Sciences and the Museum of Arts, having the opportunity to learn more about local culture and history.
The last day of mobility was a special day. It started with a creative workshop where young participants from the partner countries were invited to create a piece using various keywords specific to the project. With their overflowing imagination, they brought to life a short show full of powerful messages about the dangers of social media.
After the creative workshop, students and teachers gathered for a festive lunch, served in the host school, together with the entire extended team of the "Offline" project. Here they had the opportunity to share their conclusions regarding the learning experience and cultural exchange gained within the project. The atmosphere was full of excitement and recognition of the efforts of all involved. Finally, students and teachers proudly received their certificates of participation, thus marking the successful conclusion of this international educational project. The day ended with a sweet dessert printed with the project logo, a sweet moment to end this memorable educational adventure.
The Erasmus+ mobility at "Sf. Dumitru" Secondary School in Craiova was a complex and educational experience, which brought students opportunities for learning, cultural interaction and personal development. It was an example of the value of the Erasmus+ program in enriching education and promoting intercultural understanding.

We are conscious media writers

Torbalı, Turkey
From 2 to 6 May2023, 6 teachers and 6 students from the 3 partner schools participated in the 2nd mobility activity in the Torbalı Ticaret Odası 80.Yıl Secondary school in Izmir Torbalı, Turkey. The students were hosted by Turkish host families.
The main topic was ‘we are conscious media writers’. We organized various events to support this issue. The seminar is helded on screen time management in the digital world by our school guidance service. It was emphasized that keeping our screen time under control would save us more time for our healthy and positive life experiences.
Students were asked to give information about the social media applications they use (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Skype…) and then wrote down the average time they use these applications during the day. It was asked what the students knew about children's rights and a presentation was made with slides on this subject. At the end of the presentation, the students prepared a poster about the rights of the child that they realized and signed the posters using the handprint printing method.
The focus of the activities was on raising awareness about what and how they shared their time on social media.
Our activities were enriched with trips to get to know the social life and natural life outside, instead of surfing the internet. It was a lot of fun to explore the natural strawberry garden and underwater world.
In addition, the most important historical city of Izmir, Kuşadası Selcuk, the historical city of Ephesus, the Virgin Mary and the center of Izmir were visited and cultural exchange was made.
Eating the most important traditional dishes of İzmir, we ended our 2nd mobility with excellent experiences that we will never forget.

TROLLING AND CYBERBULLYING
05 - 09 december 2022
EGER, HUNGARY
From 4 to 9 December 2022, 8 teachers and 7 students from the 3 partner schools participated in the 1st mobility activity in the Szent Imre Katolikus Általános Iskola és Jó Pásztor Óvoda, AMI Eger, Hungary. The students were hosted by Hungarian host families.
The main topic was Trolling and Cyberbullying. Students took part in several lectures and interactive workshops, which were complemented by cultural activities. Among other things, they learned about the negative aspects of social media use. In transnational teams they discussed the differences and similarities between trolling and cyberbullying. They examined their impact on their personal well-being and identified strategies to avoid engaging in antisocial online behaviour. They have also participated in role-playing games to protect themselves against trolling and cyberbullying. Students also broadened their knowledge on the positive use of social media.
There was also an emphasis on online commenting, where participants held a brainstorming session on the possible consequences of posting. Students learned and tested the "Stop.Think. Act" model in this context and created slogans on the topic.
The programme was enriched by the organisation of a sports afternoon where students, teachers and parents moved together, they were "offline".
There was a study visit to Szent István TV and Radio, where our students took part in tasks and situations to develop cooperation and ICT-enhanced media literacy. In addition, they explored the sights of Eger, visited the Archbishop's Palace Visitor Centre, went on a trip to Noszvaj, visited the Royal Castle in Gödöllő and visited the Christmas Fair in Budapest on Vörösmarty Square.
